In a letter to Senate Minority Leader
Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi the National Security
Advisory Group expressed its “deep concern about the U.S. Army’s
current state of readiness” and urged them “to take immediate action to
address the urgent problem.”
Low readiness levels weaken the military’s ability “to deter undesired
actions” from threatening nations like Iran and North Korea, the letter
stated.
According to (Laura Donoho's) husband who served as a Lt. COL. in the
J-8 (the Joint Staff Resource Management Office) in the pentagon during
Mr. Clinton’s presidency, the issues regarding the readiness posture of
the Armed Forces are directly attributable to Mr. Clinton and the
democrats.
Military readiness is the last thing I'd expect pacifists like Pelosi
to be "up in arms" about (pardon the pun). It's so transparent
it's ridiculous. I guess we might as well blame Bush for the
current heat wave, too!
